About the Course
As per the ISPS Code, there is a fundamental security certification mandate for individuals regularly present on or visiting vessels. This course serves as the mandatory minimum security-related training requirement under STCW ISPS for a superyacht, motor yacht, or megayacht crew or staff who are not assigned specific security duties onboard.
The course equips learners with the essential knowledge to fulfil the mandated instruction according to STCW, the MNTB KUPs, the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) guidelines, and IMO Model Course 3.27. This is not a security training course instructing you on security practices, but more to provide awareness of the various procedures, protocols, international codes, and conventions that are in place.
